Michel Preto, UX/UI Product Designer
I'm Brazilian and currently live in the countryside of São Paulo state, in the city of Socorro
I've spent 20 years learning how people interact with technology. I started in networking and infrastructure, moved into interface design, and ended up somewhere few designers reach: the layer where artificial intelligence makes decisions that affect real people.
Today I specialize in AI UX — the discipline that defines how AI-powered systems communicate their actions, build trust with users, and let people stay in control even when the machine is acting autonomously. It's a new field, complex and urgent. And it's exactly where I want to be.
I hold a degree in Computer Engineering, a postgraduate degree in User Experience, and an MBA in AI Leadership, Strategy & Governance from FIAP. That combination lets me sit at the same table as data engineers, product managers and executives, and speak all their languages without losing sight of the end user.
In practice, that means:
- Designing learning platforms with gamification and AI woven into the student journey.
- Building chatbots in production, with a self-hosted architecture, the Claude API and automation via n8n.
- Developing Design Systems that govern not just what designers create, but what AI generates.
- Building products from scratch — from concept to technical documentation — like HelpCiti, a hyperlocal platform with AI-driven personalization and geospatial data.
I don't use AI as a shortcut.
I use it as raw material for building experiences that weren't possible before.
If you're here, you're probably building something with AI and want to make sure the user experience doesn't get left behind. That's exactly what I do.
